Reading at home and at school is still such an important part of every child's learning journey. As many children are not unable to access books using the library service the next best thing is to access books online and have decided to introduce Epic-books for kids. A fantastic online reading library for children under 12.
This is a free app where your children will have access to over 40 thousand books all free of charge.
Click the link here https://www.getepic.com/
to be taken to the website and please look out for your child's unique code which will be sent to you securely on Classdojo.
The link to add your unique code is here https://www.getepic.com/students
the instructions for accessing the library and finding your child's name and details are shown below.
There is also a youtube clip detailing what Epic books is and how your children can get the most benefit from it's use.
As early as next week we will be using Microsoft Class Teams alongside Classdojo as part of our blended learning at Streethouse Primary School.
Microsoft teams will allow us to create a safe and secure online classroom for our pupils where we will be able to both video and audio call as a way of keeping in touch whilst learning in different places.
We will be sending log in details via Classdojo so that your child can then be accepted into the correct classroom and be able to see their friends and teachers virtually .
Please click on the Youtube clip below to follow the step by step guide on how your child can download and install the app onto their chosen device and then locate their virtual classroom on Teams.
What is ClassDojo?

This week you will be sent a personalised letter with details of how to access Class dojo and join our classroom community. These will need returning to school as soon as possible!
Please see the clips below with instructions on how to access the app.
