At Streethouse, we believe that physical education, experienced in a safe and supportive environment, is a crucial part to a pupil’s physical and emotional health. Every pupil at our school is encouraged to be a fully active participant in PE lessons. Physical Education contributes to the overall education of all children by helping them to lead full and valuable lives through engaging in purposeful and high-quality activity. It promotes active and healthy lifestyles, physical skills, physical development and knowledge of the body in action. PE enables children to learn confidence, perseverance, team spirit, positive competitiveness and organisation.

Skills through the curriculum.
This term, we are focusing on batting and ball skills in PE. Below you can see Year One practice these skills in a Inter-School Kwik Cricket Tournament, and the Year 6 practice their table tennis skills.
PE Leaders
Year 5 children had a full day of a PE leader course this Tuesday. They learned all the skills of leadership and resilience, and will take all their learning into being good role models for the younger children. They may even lead games at breaks and lunch! Well done Year 5.
Thank you to all of our children who took part in the Reindeer Run! Here are some photos of our children taking part...
Swimming
At the moment swimming isn't taking place due to the pool being closed. We are hoping that swimming will resume soon. Children in Year 4 and 5 will take part in swimming. Please refer to this page for updates and information related to swimming!
